Greetings from Lima, Peru, where we
have just completed the panel for 5 more practitioners. Practitioners from
Cal and NM accompanied me to assist with the panels and then we presented a
day long conference. I am so grateful for the prayers and generous sharing
of their hearts and information given by Janice Deaton--Centro Global de
Tijuana, Peggy Schinn--Las Cruces, NM, and Martha Quintana--Holmes Inst
student ABQ NM. I also have introduced visioning to 6 or 7 groups this past
week. There are now a total of 15 practitioners in Lima and they are all
passionate about teaching others how to use SOM to create lives of joy and
peace. We are all meeting this afternoon to vision about SOM in Lima and
Peru in general. There is a strong desire to have a center where they can
all teach and present workshops.
One of the challenges is getting books that pertain to our teaching. One of
the things I īve learned is that there are no taxes on used books which
really makes it much more affordable to send boxes of books. It can be
pretty costly as they are heavy and new books are taxed. It would depend on
what books one wants to give away, but I would be interested in books that
relate directly to SOM. While many of the students donīt speak English they
can read enough to understand.

I am honored to represent UCSL as a member of the Global Core and also as a
vision facilitator during these two weeks in Lima. The people are generous
and loving and I have enjoyed every moment I have spent with them. I return
to New Mexico tonight knowing that Iīll be back in LIma soon.
In gratitude--Rev. Jennie J. Goff
